Palletizer – Elkhart.
I’ve been with Colbert for three years, starting as a feeder-packer, then moved on to palletizing, baler, die cutter, and aerator. As a case sealer/material handler, I scan boxes and palletize them. I do inventory and coordinate jobs by color, work instructions, and evaluating skids and pallets. I also make sure samples are taken care of. I enjoy training other employees in my job skills. There are challenges in my work such as making sure tray labels are applied appropriately. Special ones that go on the lid and case need to be monitored to make sure they are done correctly. I love to work hard and have enjoyed all aspects of the various roles I fill – especially die cutting. I liked the challenges in that department. I have learned a lot in a short amount of time and that is exciting, as I love to learn new things. My job involves a lot of energy and I like to keep moving!
Colbert means family, and that’s how I’ve been treated. My brother, Kyle, showed me everything here and it’s amazing how family-oriented Colbert is. The people are great here and there are so many opportunities. They let you try different things. I’m proud of the products we produce and the customers we have. I love showing friends and family what we make.
