Lon Johnson transitions to Senior VP Sales.

Kenosha, WIS—Colbert Packaging (colbertpkg.com), a premier manufacturer of paperboard packaging, announces the promotion of Account Executive Ryan Hart to the role of Vice President, Sales and Marketing. Ryan has led a successful career in the packaging industry since 2002 when he joined Barger Packaging in Elkhart, Indiana. When Colbert acquired the Barger facility in March 2004, Ryan joined Colbert and transitioned into a sales role where he was responsible for new business development, gaining valuable experience early in his career.

“I am passionate about forging deep relationships with my customers through unparalleled responsiveness, and fostering enjoyable, solution-driven experiences for customers and prospects alike,” states Hart. In this new role, Ryan leads Colbert’s sales and marketing efforts in pursuit of growth opportunities across multiple industries with a core focus on the healthcare sector.

Ryan takes on this role, formerly held by Lon Johnson, as Johnson takes on an advisory role as Senior Vice President of Sales. “For 15 years, Ryan and I developed a close and collaborative relationship as we worked together to grow Colbert’s book of business with an emphasis on healthcare and a focus on aligning Colbert with technological advancements specific to the pharmaceutical industry,” says Johnson. “I am excited that Ryan is taking the next step to move into this leadership role, and I will continue to stay involved with the sales team in an advisory capacity, working with strategic accounts, and ensuring a smooth transition for Ryan.” Johnson has worked in the packaging industry since 1981. Along with leading Colbert’s Sales and Marketing team, he was instrumental in setting up its flexographic printing division. In addition to his sales oversight responsibilities, Johnson will remain an active member of Colbert’s board of directors.

“We are delighted to welcome Ryan Hart to this leadership role, based on his depth of experience, devotion to our customers, and drive to grow our business with a vision for sustainability,” says Colbert CEO Nancy MacDougall. “We are fortunate to have had Lon’s mentorship and focus on developing the next generation of packaging professionals, as well as his continuing advisory role and position on our board of directors.”
